Greetings from our studio in the Highlands of Scotland, where we are now officially edging into Summer – for our dear annual visitors have at last arrived on the last leg of their journey from North Africa. We speak of those hardy creatures who fly thousands of miles to get here, swooping through our garden with delight – whose chattering presence we would sorely miss. We speak of our feathered friends the Swallows. Now we wonder where they will settle down to nest and produce their first brood, as we follow their happenings over the coming four months; when once again they will take to the wing in mid-September to fly back to their Winter lands. It is amazing how such events play a significant part in the seasons of our lives, how they make us feel more settled, knowing that the cycle of life continues.
As you will know from previous newsletters, our site has now been fully remade and so we feel more settled on that front too. Like the Swallows, we look forward to our cycle of life continuing, picking-up from where we were forced to leave-off last year on our work-in-progress.
In March we brought you news of our video painting tutorials and released our latest box-set. In April we wrote of Paul Taggart’s Fine Art, along with our latest Masterworks oil painting reveal video and the fund-raising print in aid of RNLI Scotland.
Now in May, the late Spring/early-Summer dandelion-rush in our garden, not to mention the appearance of ladybugs, with their ‘enamelled’ bright-red overcoats (both of which Paul absolutely adores), seems so fitting for the release of our latest behind-the-scenes video bonus feature from Paul Taggart’s Elphen Chronicles – featuring these scions of Summer.
Lift the lid on The Elphen Treasure Chest, a magical trove filling with myriad gems of all things Elphen. There are books and short stories, a music album and soundscape, original artworks and prints, tutorials and crafty templates, plus more in the making.
Thank you for watching and as ever, we send you best wishes from,”
